Description
Emmerdements is a political and tragicomic farce directed by Matthias Urban, based on an original text by Antoine Jaccoud. The challenge of the project was to create a scenography that transports the audience into an undefined space, blending design, simplicity, and art. The goal was to optimize resources, avoid waste, and propose a simple and effective system.
To achieve this, we collaborated with our network to find designer furniture, which was returned to its owner after the event. The drapes, recovered from a previous exhibition, create an opening at the center of the stage, bringing fluidity and light.

Inspired by the architecture of the Octogone, we designed a corrugated cardboard structure that delineates the space while remaining practical, easy to assemble, and fully recyclable. This structure maintains transparency and adds depth to the stage.
Two lamps, inspired by Bastien Taillard's Mirage pendant lamps for RADAR, enhance the scenography. They define two distinct spaces while emphasizing the geometry and visual coherence of the whole.
