The Design Dinner is an intimate gastronomic dinner held as part of Design Days 2026, the 17th edition of the Swiss design fair, at La Rasude in Lausanne. I designed the scenography for the evening, which brought together sixty guests in a space where design and food meet. Working alongside chef Michaël Fessler of Fud Läb, who led the culinary side, my challenge was to turn a former postal building beside the railway tracks into a landscape that felt both sculptural and convivial.

The scenography plays with reused objects, raw materials and light totems to create a world where light becomes material. I designed and made the lights, combining recycled materials and cardboard. Each globe is painted by hand. The candle holders are Pisoni–lab pieces, made from offcuts of other projects. Rather than decorating a dining room, I built a spatial story. Each element guides the guests' gaze between the plate and the space, between intimacy and spectacle. I did not try to compete with the industrial character of La Rasude: I made it part of the experience. As night falls, light and reflections on the tables reveal another side of the place. The scenography becomes the thread of the evening, linking eating, looking and inhabiting into a single experience.
